I made the Big Time!!

OK, first I have to give myself a High Five as I made the big time. If you google "thesportssupergenius" my site now appears!! And if you search Apple Podcasts on Itunes, and look up the sports super genius! My podcasts are there. So things are picking up all you bloggers.

This will always be my site as well. I have to say right now, as my focus is on the main site, but, sports is in a tumble. Look at basketball. OJ Mayo out of USC coming out, then what! He had an agent since High School? Then this week he cuts off all ties with the guy. Who btw, fronted him the money for his digs in USC, like his big screen TV in his dorm room. Sounds like Reggie Bush, has a guy help him out, then cans him.

What is Wrong With KHTK

I have been listening to KHTK since my move to the capital city. OK, the last three days, I have been hearing the slams of Ron Artest by Mike Lamb. He goes on and on, with his monotone voice, and his pauses. Ron---------Artest---------just--------needs--------to-------go. He goes on and says he is bad for the team, he is a joke, and he just is a bad person. I do not think you like the guy, that is known. But what you are doing is actually undermining the Kings and their move. That's right, you fat arrogant person. You are the only one that is saying this. Reggie is saying it, your red headed buddy, Jim Koz, no one. Why they keep you on the program is beyond me. Then you call in late at night like we want to hear you before we go to bed, with your dumb stories. And your commercials about the food you eat. I hope they are giving you free food, the way you look. And you sit courtside, why dont you be more like a Jim Rome, and confront these people face to face. I didn't hear you once say anything like you do the past three days to his face. Say it, ask it, then watch. I remember when Warren Sapp corrected you when you thought he was getting less productive. And he brought up the sacks he has to the point of the interview. And your response was "Oh, I see" and then you clammed up. I bet no one watches your Comcast show, how you get or gotten announcer of the year in this city is another dumb vote, no one asked me. Koz is the best announcer/shock jock on the station. He needs to be treated like it. Like give him your show, and get rid of you and your red headed buddy.......

The Kings come home

So here comes our New Kings, they should beat the Atlanta Hawks. With their new bench. So, is the crowds going to be there? I doubt it. A local radio show host told us, the magic of Arco, the fans and the Thunder of Arco will never be back. So what is the use? Why trade away our minor star for several mediocre players? We gain nothing in our salary cap, trying to get a big name free agent to play with Beno, Kevin, and who else?? That will draw a big name player as we are battling for the 8th seed. Even if we do land one player, it wont be enough....

Bibby for who??

Everyone here in the Capital City wanted a trade, get rid of Mike Bibby.. OK, Geeeoooff did. Who did he get? Four spot players and something the Kings had not had in a few years, a 2nd Round Draft pick. Well lets see, Fransico Garcia isn't playing much, so I can only imagine what a 2nd rounder will do for the Kings. And the people he got? Then he releases Justin Williams, one of our only young defensive players on the bench. So, people say it is cap room, some say it is a great trade? Will someone just explain it to me?? All four players points per game dont add up to Bibbys points per game total. And Beno? Well I hope he is healthy, because who do we have for a back up point guard now?....

Shaq, trades and the Kings

Well, Geeoof, whatcha going to do? Did you deceide our team is not good enough to run with the big dogs?? A big player, like Pau Gasol is pretty much given away, Shawn Merion is up, and what? I hear the rumors from your famed Sportsline Crew, that Artest will be gone or not back. So are we going to make someone else better? Like what you did with the Hornets, or the Magic with you trades.
But what is the Suns thinking? They have a great center when he is healthy on a running team. Shaq cant keep up, so your going to leave him in the backcourt and play 4 on 5? And his salary. My god, he is a salary cap byhimself. Sometimes, it should be Shaq and say, let me take a pay cut, as this is one of the best teams in the NBA and this will get me my next couple of rings prior to me bailing out of the league.

Where is Tiki??

Can any one player/former player be more upset than Tiki Barber? How stupid does he look like. A man with sour grapes. He slams his coach after he had his best season ever. Maybe, just maybe, Tiki was the problem. He becomes a sports broadcaster, then, slams Coach Coughlin and says Eli isnt a leader. After two games he was smiling saying see, this is what I mean. Well Tiki, maybe you were the rusty nail in the foot. Maybe you were holding the team down. You were the dark dirty water in the glass. One drop of ink in a glass of water changes the color. But, it takes many to make it clear again. And the Giants, they cleared there head, played on, and now look. One thing I know, you will never own a Super Bowl Ring, you are on the outside looking in. And the Giants, your former coach, is now going to get his new contract, Eli will be on TV alot and go to Disney World, and you. You can now say something, and no one really cares about your view, you couldnt have been more wrong!!!

I said it first!!

Well I said it. The Giants were off to a good start. No one gave them any credit for getting somewhere, winning 10 on the road, beating the best NFC team. No one, even when Brady led his team down field with less than 3 minutes left in the game. People said, Manning cant do it. Well he did!! And so goes the perfect season! Well, for the Giants, they got it, the Perfect Season. Tiki Barber, you can now eat crow. Your former team is better off with out you....

Where are the Fans??

I was watching the Sacramento Kings last night, and again, an empty house. So where are the fans? I heard a local radio host talk about going to Ticket Master, and purchasing two tickets to the Cowboys-Giants playoff game. So where are the fans? I have a few thoughts.
1) The fans, just cant afford the season ticket. The prices have gone up, and wages have gone down, you say no. I received a 4.5% raise last year. A good wage increase. My health Insurance cost went up 6%, and the price of gas went up 20%. I think this is the biggest factor.
2) My god, what does it take to get a player off the field. Players feel they are special, carry guns, walk around with gangs, or sorry, their people. Shoot themselves up with Steriods, drugs, and even murder people. But yet they still play. Just maybe us fans are sick of it!!
3) Marginal play. With so many players in the league, there is sub par play at the highest levels. People with contracts play even though the bench warmers are better.
4) With the cost of HD Televisions dropping like a rock, why not stay home, save the $300 dollars for a lower level seat and watch it at home, were the food is better, warmer, and no idiots yelling behind and in front of you...

Is the Underdog a good place to be?

Watching all the hype, seeing a Patriot Book getting published, 19-0, and listening to everyone say, what a season to go undefeated. What a team, the best ever, 19-0!! Well one problem, they have yet to go 19-0.

So, lets look at Super Bowl's in the past. Jets, can not beat the Colts, a true 20+ point underdog, The Bronco's will never beat the Packers, the Packers are the new Dynasty, and lets not forget, the Patriots. How can New England ever beat the Greatest Show on Turf, Kurt Warner is the best ever. The Offense is the best ever.

Well just remember that this weekend. How many people even have the Giants in the Super Bowl, thats right, how can the Giants beat the Cowboys, how can the Giants go into the famed Lambeau Field and beat the Packers. Now it is how can the Giants beat the Patriots.

Well, it looks like the Giants are off to a good start.

Super Bowl Media Day

OK, I have to ask, how do I get media credentials for the Super Bowl Media Week? They have Radio Row, in which pod casts, and anyone get broadcast, they have media coverage which has women asking football players to marry her, 10 year old girls asking questions, people in top hats, etc... So how do I get a press pass?? I would really love to know. As I see the NFL turning into a circus. And Brady, and TMZ. Why was only one person following Brady?? And how much is a video worth to get Brady's foot in a boot. So lets just say, in my end of cyber space. Someone got rich, and I think he knows Tom Brady : )
